Mortgage Business Analyst - Birmingham, AL

The duties of the Mortgage Business Analyst include maintaining and optimizing the Morvision database, becoming familiar with all aspects of the Morvision application including reports, parameters, interfaces and vendor/business partner interfaces, analyzing user needs as required, developing and modifying software to meet requirements of mortgage and regulatory groups. In addition, the Mortgage Business Analyst will test and debug assigned projects, prepare documentation on new or existing software, investigate call escalations from User Support staff and make necessary corrections to data and/or software, and train new and existing Mortgage banking Production and Operations staff on new and updated mortgage software systems. Mortgage Loan Closer - Birmingham, AL

The essential job duties of the Mortgage Loan Closer include closing secondary market and portfolio loans, obtaining and verifying documentation needed at closing, preparing closing packages, entering information in closing document preparation software, preparing closing instructions with fees and checking all documents in file for accuracy and consistency. In addition, the Mortgage Loan Closer will review and approve HUD-1 settlement statements and inform closing agents of any needed corrections, prepare funding sheets and order funding checks or wires in a timely manner, review insurance documents, move loans into Caylx Point to “closed” stage and input closed date in general tracking, complete a daily log and forward closed loan files to Post Closing Department, and work closely with all mortgage staff, closing agents, loan officers and wholesale brokers. One year of previous mortgage lending closing experience or two years in a related mortgage lending position is required. Caylx and Silverlake experience is a plus.
