Our Privacy Pledge to you from Superior Bank

Your financial privacy is extremely important to us. We realize that privacy is a valuable asset, and we want to ensure that you are protected by a privacy policy where personal information is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Below is a notice of your financial privacy rights. In this notice, you will find an explanation of our privacy policy, as well as our pledge to secure your personal financial information. This policy and pledge applies to our entire corporate family - Superior Bank and Superior Bancorp.

We will not share or sell your customer information with third parties, except as permitted by law. If and when we do share this information, we will follow strict security standards, confidentiality policies and comply with applicable laws regarding the use of this information.

This disclosure statement takes the place of any other previous statements regarding privacy and the use of consumer information. This disclosure is subject to change at any time.

This is our privacy notice for our customers. The following describes our privacy practices that are applicable to the information of our individual customers who obtain a product or service primarily for personal, family, or household purposes. When we use the words "you" and "your" we mean the following types of customers:

Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.

Types of Affiliates

Our affiliates, listed above, include financial service providers and insurance agents.

Joint Marketing

We also may disclose customer information to companies that perform services or functions on our behalf and to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. Joint marketing agreements with other financial institutions allow us to bring information to you about financial products and services that generally are different than those we provide. We require our service providers and those with which we jointly market financial products or services to adhere to confidentiality standards governing the privacy of your information. For example, we may disclose customer information about you to credit reporting agencies, in response to a court order, as required by certain federal and state laws, to help complete a transaction initiated by you, or as authorized by you.
